Jeffrey R. Holland Dedication

On September 7, 2012 I went to the Dedication of the Jeffrey R. Holland Centennial Commons Building. It was such an awesome experience to be there in the presence of a member of the First Presidency and an Apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm so excited to use this building for my success. Elder Holland said, "It is a common building, for common people with common dreams."

Time Management

In class we talked about time management. Some of the tips that we talked about were

• Set Goals
• Don't Procrastinate
• Make To Do Lists
• Prioritize
• Visual Reminder
• Break it Down
• I Want Statements

I think if I use these skills in my life it will be very beneficial for me success.

Where Oh Where is the Library?

This week in class we talked about the campus and where to locate main buildings and services that are available for us. Dixie State's Student Library is located in the new Holland Centennial Commons Building on the second and third floors. The second floor has mainly computers therefore the third floor is full of books. We also got our Getting Involved in College Life Checklist that we need to complete during the semester. It has many activities and events that we are required to go to, to help us get involved. I think it's gonna be fun doing most of the activities.
